What I do.
Coaching
I spend a great deal of time in conversation with my coaching clients and, over the years, I have learned to recognise when to ‘press the button’ and when to step back and witness a process that is unfolding satisfactorily on its own.
Facilitation.
By removing the obstacles to productive communication and by facilitating robust conversations, groups may yield unexpected benefits and successes
Writing.
My writing career is rooted in my research into women’s transformational processes. The extensive writing that the PhD demanded marked the beginning of a journey as an author.
Dena's word-bites.
I am fairly often asked if I have written anything down that captures the thoughts, themes and insights that have emerged from our discussions.
Workshops and seminars.
By marrying the theoretical with the practical, I deliver leadership programmes, workshops and seminars on many topics such as: change, communication, team building and coaching and mentoring.
About Me.
I do my work because I believe that holding conversations that dig beneath the surface allows potential, and success, to flow.
I believe that people harbour much more potential than they think they do; that they are more capable than they believe they are and that they have innate drivers that they do not fully recognise in themselves.
By challenging and changing our old habits, assumptions and thinking paradigms, I believe that this potential can be released and new ideas, initiatives and success will follow.
This is why I am in the development field as a coach, programme director and writer.
Whether engaging with an individual, or a team, I combine the theoretical with the practical, the cognitive with the creative and the affirmative with the provocative. The conversations, from which transformative change can take place, flow from this context.
